‘More than Halfway’ Advancing Women Newsletter August 2017
Apparently the age our grandparents died gives us some indication of our genetic disposition for living. (Or I might have made that up?) If so, and assuming no random act of terrorism or road carnage interferes, I have 2 and a half years of life left.
Fortunately, my chances of living beyond this are considerably more hopeful given penicillin has been readily available for the last 60 years or so, and medical advances to combat heart disease and some cancers have improved a tad.
I don’t feel at all morbid, but the realisation that I’m more than halfway has been quite galvanising!
